New Resurrection Congregation

The "New Resurrection" church was one of the first congregations established in 2000. A work team of five people was hosted by Randy Turnbull and his family in the summer of 2000. With a great deal of help from the local congregation the floor was poured in the sanctuary. All of the cement was mixed by hand.
The congregation is pastored by Rev. Jairo Fonseca and his wife Briselda. Both Jairo and Briselda are graduates of the El Sembrador Bible Institute. Jairo also works at the vocational school as an instructor in the auto mechanics department.
El Limon is a community located six miles north east of Choluteca and was built for people who had been displaced by Hurricane Mitch. People were relocated to the “New City” even before houses or roads could be built.
