Friends Forever Congregation

Alejandro and Martha baptismAlejandro and Martha Mejia are the founding pastors of the ministry in Choluteca and of the "Amigos por Siempre" congregation, which is the original congregation of the Evangelical Holiness Church in Choluteca. Alejandro and Martha are both graduates of the Escuela El Sembrador Bible Institute  in Catacamas, Olancho.

In the time immediately following the floods of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, the Mejia family began ministry in Choluteca, Honduras through a cooperative effort of the Evangelical Holiness Church in Honduras (IESH) and World Gospel Mission (WGM). Alejandro's initial work focused on relief efforts to distribute food and clothing.  Following the initial relief effort, Alejandro and Martha accepted the challenge to establish a new ministry in southern Honduras. In the first months of 1999, they were available to spiritually counsel and encourage people in the midst of the tragedy, which were the most difficult moments that most of them had faced in their lives.
